Travel Day

We are on our way!

Looking forward to a life-changing trip with this year's team.  We are so thankful for the many donations we have to bring to Atlanta this year. The donations take up well over half of our trailer! We have everything from hats and gloves and jackets, to hygiene kits, blankets, jeans, sweatshirts and boxes of socks. Thank you to all who donated!  We are also grateful for your prayers. We know many of you have been praying for us even today as we have been traveling since 3:00 AM.  Conditions have not been clear. We continue to drive through rain, but we are thankful God led us through a dangerous section of freezing rain and ice.  Roads were very slick and several cars and semis were in the ditch.  For about 45 minutes we were traveling at about 3-4 miles per hour. A touch of the brakes led to sliding, so it was a little tense.  We are a little behind schedule, but we are safe! We are extremely thankful for answered prayers!

Looking forward to an eventual late lunch in Nashville (70 degrees!).

Ready to go!  Atlanta, here we come.

Thankful we were made aware of the ice in time to slow down.

Glad this is behind us!

Tired, but in good spirits.

Just entered Kentucky (12:06 pm). It's wet, but the skies are clearing:)

Steak 'n Shake for lunch.  We weren't allowed to eat inside so we were super thankful it was beautiful outside!

Yum.

First of many group shots:)

Atlanta, here we come!

Pizza and orientation time with David:)

It was a long day, but we are finally settled in.  After a quick pizza supper and a brief orientation, we unloaded the trailer, got set up and had a little down time followed by some group devotions and prayer.
We are exhausted yet we look forward to seeing what God's got in store for us over the next few days! Please continue to pray for our team! We know great things are accomplished through prayer!
